Matteo Franchini

I started making knives in the summer 2005 when with my father we decided to start a common hobby together. Using second hand material, I started with a tanto knife due to the passion of mine for the eastern culture. In the following years I produced some other works exploiting every moments saved from my university studies, starting also to practice engraving, first with the scrimshaw techniques and then to pyrography too. 
After the master degree in Physics I moved abroad, far away from the working tools and there I started to spend more time in wood and bone engraving since the needed stuff are easier to transport and store.
